Here is a statement that is sure to ruffle some feathers:
Barack Obama is pro-slavery.
Do you think that is radical, over to top, an out and out lie? Let me explain.
Slavery can be defined in many ways, including:
1. Unpaid servitude, in which one person (called "master") has absolute power, including of life and liberty, over another (called "slave"). ... www.trumanlaw.com/docs/dictionary/s.html
2. Describes when some individuals are owned by others as their property.
www.uwic.ac.uk/shss/dom/newweb/General/Glossary.htm
In the above definitions, we see that slavery is when one person (master) owns another person (slave) as property and that person’s life and liberty are in total control by the "master".
American history shows that while slavery was being practiced, masters truly had total and complete control over their slaves. Slaves had absolutely no rights of their own and were not even considered as persons under the law. Because of this, it was not possible to charge or convict someone of murdering a slave because only a person could be murdered. Slaves were simply considered property and the master could do with them as he pleased. Our history is full of instances where this very thing occurred. If a slave did not perform to their master’s expectation, the slave could suffer from severe punishment, including whipping, beating or even death. The master of that slave could not be held accountable for this killing.
Slavery came to be known as such a vile act that it spawned the Civil War. Thousands of people lost their lives fighting to outlaw this horrible act of mankind. My friends, slavery may have been abolished in this country in 1865, but unbeknownst to most people, it was reinstated in the latter half of the twentieth century.
It has come to be the law of this land that a woman has the right to do whatever she wants with her body, at least in some aspects. While destroying the body with illegal drugs is still outlawed, and prostitution is still illegal in the majority of the country, the ability of a woman to destroy a child that invades her body is completely legal. When this became the law of the land in 1973, science had not come to a clear and defined understanding of when life begins inside the mother. Since that time, the advancement of science has given us the means to understand with the utmost certainty that life begins at the moment of conception, when the egg and sperm cells join. This starts a process that can never grow into anything other than a human being. And with countless examples of babies being born as early as twenty weeks and surviving, it must be clear even to those who refuse to believe the overwhelming evidence that life begins at conception, that it must begin by at least the twentieth week of pregnancy or else the child could not survive.
The right to abortion in this country not only allows the mother to end the life of her child at any point up to the delivery, but beyond. The cruel and brutal act known as partial birth abortion, which is perfectly legal, is when a child is born feet first, all but the head, which remains in the mother. The doctor then jabs a pair of scissors into the base of the skull and into the brain. A tube is then inserted into this hole and the brains of the living child are sucked out, killing the child. Not even as much as an anesthetic is administered during this execution of the child. How brutal indeed.
The justification that abortion should be allowed to protect the life of the mother (self defense), surely fails in the situation in which the child is 80% born and instead of completing the delivery of a healthy child, it is instead killed via the partial birth abortion process. There would certainly be no difference in the mother’s health if the child was allowed to live, as the delivery must complete anyway. Not to mention the negative effects on the mother’s mental health upon her dealing with fact that she played a part in the brutal death of her own child.
Another type of abortion takes place in this land in which if a child survives an abortion, and is thus born alive, that child is left alone to die from cold and/or the lack of nourishment, whereupon the child is disposed of. This can take many hours of excruciating pain and discomfort to the child. What a truly cruel way to murder another person.
Any law that is enacted that makes it legal to own another person, to have complete control over that person’s right to life and liberty and to kill that person with no recourse of the law, my friends, is known as slavery and a child in the womb is a person, plain and simple. We can rationalize it as being the right to do with one’s body as one pleases, but the fact remains that no one has the right to take another person’s life without due process of law. That was outlawed in 1865 when slavery was outlawed.
There is an election coming up, as you all know and one of the candidates in that election is Senator Barack Obama. He was been quoted during this election cycle as saying "America is no longer what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children." I think he is right. I think this country is not what it once was and should go back to the way it was prior to 1973, before abortion was made legal. The strange thing is that Barack Obama is pro-abortion. Not just simple abortion, but he supports late term abortion, partial birth abortion and even the abortion of children that are born perfectly healthy, because he says that to support anything less than that would be to possible hinder the right to abortion. This is from a man who said "I’ve got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby." This is from a man who is half African American who surely either has members of his ancestry that were slaves in this country or has friends who have such roots. A man who clearly is selling out his own people who were once freed from slavery. Especially when the abortion that he is fighting to remain legal might take place against an African American child. I guess as long as it’s not just African Americans who are enslaved, but members of all races, he must think it is ok. This astounds and outrages me.
I think it is time that we stand up and call abortion what it truly is, slavery. Just as was done in the 1800’s, it is time that we put an end to slavery in this country once and for all. We need to win a war in this country that will not require a call to arms as it did in the Civil War, but to another type of arms. The weapons of this war are the thought and ideas that made this country great, the belief that we are all created with the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that those rights cannot be taken away from us without the due process of law. We must get our ideas out and into the minds of all people, to free them of their hypocritical thinking. To hopefully one day end the act of abortion not only in this country, but around the world.
Please, stand up and do what is right for those of us in this country that are completely incapable of helping themselves. Who are completely incapable of speaking out against the inhumane acts that are being perpetrated upon them by those in this country who would have them murdered simply because they would feel that to allow them to live would be in some way a punishment to others.
John McCain is not a perfect candidate for president, but one thing is clear. He has stood up for the right of the unborn in this country in the past. He says he will continue to do so and I see no reason why he would not. Barack Obama on the other hand, has said just the opposite. He has said that he will fight for abortion at every turn, to make it possible to continue the vile and inhumane act of abortion against the truly helpless and innocent of our country. Please do your part in ending slavery in this country. Thank you,
M. McGinnis
